What makes Us unique?

Because I love houseplants so much, I want everyone to be able to experience that joy. Houseplants should be accessible to everyone everywhere and credible knowledge should be accessible as well. All houseplants that I sell, I grew (from propagations) and cared for myself! My potted houseplants are in soil from a Black woman who makes premium soil specifically curated to the needs of each houseplant. All of my plants are grown and sold with lots and lots of love + attention. Our OG herbal tea is inspired by my Great Grandmother, Margaret Henderson. She inspired and guided me in the creation of our herbal tea! Our sage burning herbs are locally and ethically sourced from a trusted source.

I also want Black & Brown women to know we belong in the houseplant community and horticulture world, too. EVERYONE is welcomed in this space, but supporting and amplifying Black and Brown Folks in this space is super important to me, because visibility matters.

"Let me tell y’all about the cuttings I received from Poison Ivey’s Apothecary! When I first started my plant journey, one of the very first ones I bought was the snake plant. Thrives on neglect, basically unkillable…right? So after learning that you can in fact kill them, I contacted Sher about a few cuttings and she promptly had two shipped to me cross country! They arrived in great condition and ready to plant. Along with the cuttings were instructions on how to properly care for them, as well as suggestions on soil mixes and placements to help them thrive. My new baby’s have grown SOO much since potting, and she even helped me revive the previously-thought-to-be dead one! Thanks for all your help Sher!"
